Our Story So Far…

Our staff, students, parents and Millgrove community members are planning a day of garden maintenance under the Garden Care program. We are planning for the children to bring a "nude food" morning tea, there by drawing their attention to waste reduction. We will make some delicious vegetable soup, using some of the herbs and veggies from our garden. We will spend the morning mulching, weeding, pruning and planting. We will finish the day with some cooperative games.

We currently have an extensive School Veggie Garden. We also have a frog bog and this is fenced and surrounded by a buffer zone of native vegetation. We currently have solar panels and several water tanks servicing the toilets. We also have a strong commitment to recycling and composting. The children are encouraged to reduce packaging in their lunches and are asked to take garbage home with them.
