OUR ACTION

Morpeth Public School operates a whole-school recycling economy program, where students trade recyclables for "school dollars." Recyclables are then on-sold to local businesses and the funds used to purchase auction prizes for the students to bid on with their school currency. An annual design competition using recycled materials will also be held. The theme this year is to design a game, toy or leisure item. Displays, recycling and sustainability workshops are also planned.

OUR IMPACT

Recycling 1 kg of plastic each week for a year save 4 CO2e-kgs from being released into the atmosphere.
