Our Story So Far…

Environmental and sustainability education has been an important part of the curriculum at our centre for over five years, with the children participating in weekly planned lessons,as well as everyday fun in our garden.Aspects of the "Green Thumbs,Waste Warriors,Wild Child, and Sparky"actions promoted by Enviroweek are always taught, encouraged, practiced and celebrated through our program. To further extend our learnings and practices,we are aiming to share more widely with our community. To do this we are participating in the EKKA (Brisbane Show),garden to kitchen wheelbarrow competition,to highlight edible gardens. We are creating a new Magic Garden, for the children to play in.We are sharing our knowledge about waste and energy with seniors from the local retirement home, and creating nature art to celebrate Planet Ark's TreeDay Art Competition. We are extremely proud of our next generation of young environment stewards, and hope to share their abilities, knowledge and passion with the wider community.
