OUR ACTION

The Living Laboratory is an environmental group that focuses on young people and the community. We encourage youth to gain awareness and respect for the natural world, and in particular, to take personal action to protect the environment and to educate others. The Living Laboratory believes that the long‐term health of the planet and all who live on it depends upon reaching young people with this message.   Mission: Encouraging young people personal action to nurture and protect a healthy environment on which all life depends.   Personal action is a powerful weapon in the battle to keep our planet alive and well. When taken, it can slow down the tide pollution; Set up a functioning Recycling centre: create a sustainable environment for growing food, educate the community in sustainable practices. We will create a fully functioning Community garden and recycling centre. reduce waste to landfill by 10 tonne this year

OUR ACTION

Tamala Park MRC is donating and building 2 worm farms for food scraps at school. We are purchasing 3 composters for food waste and building a chicken run for food scraps. Build a complete working food garden

Each class will reduce lighting by turning off lights at each break. Collect and recycle globes, phones and batteries. Apply for solar grants
