OUR ACTION

We have been planning and planting a new garden to provide colour, shade and learning experiences  in our early childhood setting. The children have embraced the experience, exploring the creatures that frequently visit our garden prompting discussions on life cycles and habitats.  We have added a worm farm for food scraps and eventually producing our own fertiliser for our garden. We are currently adding a herb garden which is invigorating for the senses. The children are also enjoying the experience of weeding, mulching and watering our garden learning about water conservation.

OUR IMPACT

Eating locally grown food or food from our garden is good for us and the environment. It’s fresh, ripe and doesn’t need to travel.

WE ARE CELEBRATING ENVIROWEEK

We are inviting families to help our garden grow and placing an article in our community newsletter.
