Lake Illawarra High School
Year 7 will be writing poems about our beautiful Australian environment. They will display their poems on recycling scrap paper and create their own DIY canvas. These environmentally friendly poems will hang from a tree in our school on display and later be displayed in the school library. Scrap paper is one of the biggest examples of waste in our classroom and we want to turn rubbish into something memorable and positive.
Our first step towards making our own recycled paper is to collect scrap paper from around the school! The mission is to hunt for stray paper around our school. You have two options: Option 1 - Collect paper found in the school playground! Option 2- Visit a classroom or staffroom and offer to collect their recycling.
One litre of water is needed to make three sheets of paper.
WE ARE CELEBRATING ENVIROWEEK
