Our Story So Far…

We did some tree planting, we have been practising reduce, reuse, recycle and we are all wild children! - we are collecting metal to recycle

Our group leader organised our District Environment Day where we planted native plants and trees as well as mulching in a very special park for the scouting community - Jamboree Park - this is the site of the original campfire area for the only Jamboree in Australia attended by Baden Powell (the founder of scouts) - we also got to let out our wild child side by discovering and trying some bush tucker as well as finding plants and bugs! We have been doing environment themed nights at Cubs - picking up rubbish from our local park, discussing things we can do to help the environment, looking at different ways to reduce, reuse and recycle and putting them into practice by recycling waste as well as reusing things in our craft and other activities - as part of our Enviroweek action we will be collecting scrap metal and cans to recycle and help raise funds for our scout group
