OUR ACTION

Our Eco-Schools Committee, including our Arbors will be conducting an energy audit and reporting back to the school in the form of graphs. Specific recommendations to each class including the reasons why we need to use less energy/electricity.

OUR ACTION

During this week, all classes will participate in an outdoor learning lesson. Lesson focuses will be on the environment or sustainability.

OUR IMPACT

Through waste free lunches we can save over 750 pieces of waste a day. Classes are thinking and acting towards saving energy within our school. All classes are completing at least one outdoor lesson this week so over 750 staff and students will be freeing their mind and body from the constraints within a classroom.

WE ARE CELEBRATING ENVIROWEEK

All of our students and staff are participating in EnviroWeek activities that promote thinking about how our actions impact our environment. Lead by our Arbor group of students we are reducing waste and energy usage within our school and spending some time outdoors. We are also holding a writing competition on the effects of waste in our environment and/or poster making on reduce, reuse and recycle. Staff are encouraged to use Cool Australia lessons that are aligned with the Australian curriculum.
