Hallam Primary School
HPS Enviro Team
Our Story So Far…
Students will work to establish nesting boxes to accompany our Indigenous Garden, plant trees for shade, prepare seedlings/seeds to sell at our Mini Fete.
Students at Hallam Primary have a number of existing projects that they continue to implement throughout Enviroweek. Specialist Science lessons will also have a focus on sustainability to help promote Enviroweek at HPS. The schools 'Enviro Leaders' and 'Waste Wise Kids' have recently established an Indigenous Garden. Next they plan to install nesting boxes to further promote biodiversity. As part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program, students are helping to plant trees in various locations around the school to create shade. In the week following Enviroweek, Hallam Primary School is holding a Mini Fete. Seedlings and seeds gathered from our school garden will be on sale. Students will help to prepare these for sale, as well as working at the stall to sell these products to the school community.
