Our Story So Far…
Waste Warriors! Reusing waste to make instruments, models, pencil cases and bags.
Students from P-6 took part in activities that were focussed around highlighting the impact that waste has on the environment and the future of the local community and the wider planet. Students discussed and worked on IWB activities ordering the decomposition rates of common products and were horrified that aluminium NEVER breaks down. The activities that students took part involved: Making musical instruments out of recycled materials, writing poetry with a focus on waste, ironing plastic bags to make handbags, pencil cases and wallets and constructing models of animals, rockets and objects out of various waste products collected from the homes of students. All students and teachers enjoyed the activities and there smiles all day from the creative students.
