Findon Primary School
The whole school is getting involved in a range of Enviroweek actions.
We ran a single use plastic free challenge. We promote nude food. We have set up an earthworm, worm farm and 2 compost worm, worm farms in the middle of the school so classes have easy access to pour in their classroom buckets and also food eaten in the yarn can go into the earth worm farm. The farms are alongside rubbish bins and encourages natural food choices. These are on top of our compost bins and other worm farms we use in the gardens.
Eating locally grown food or food from our garden is good for us and the environment. It’s fresh, ripe and doesn’t need to travel.
