Brightwater State School
Brightwater State School (MOUNTAIN CREEK, QLD) – BWSS team
We will reduce our waste and set up recycling systems.
Our school has, just this year, embarked on a recycle program to minimise the amount of land fill our school provides. We have obtained 32 x 240 litre recycle bins that have been placed around the school. We also have 2 x 4000 litre bulk bins. Every double classroom space shares a recycle bin that is emptied fortnightly. Student leaders are responsible for passing on the recycle message to other students. Recycle bins are also located in Administration buildings, library and beside photocopiers. We are also now recycling out printer cartridges. Although we are in the early stages, the amount we are recycling is substantial. We have a recycle audit coming up in the near future.
