Our Story So Far…

At Carrum Primary school we are running a multitude of events to celebrate Enviroweek. We are airing an environment education based radio program run by 5/6 students called “The Big Green Planet” (Internet Radio) where students discuss the environmentally friendly acts that they have undertaken during the week. We are also set to host a "Swap not Shop" day from foundation to grade six, as well as grow a "Waste Warriors" tree (collect and weigh waste and indicate each weeks amount and place a leaf on the tree noting this). We are once again participating in Kids Teaching Kids, The Green Lane Diary program and will participate in National Tree Planting Day both at school and with our community environmental group "Friends of Carrum Foreshore." Carrum Primary will also continue our work with the city of Kingston to maintain the gardens surrounding Carrum Station with The Carrum Train Station Group.
