Our Story So Far…

Our activity involves fixing and establishing a herb and vegetable garden which will be used in cooking lessons and the school coffee shop.

Our garden project will provide many opportunities for our school. Our aim is to use our freshly grown vegetables and herbs in practical Food technology lessons. this will be an excellent opportunity for Food technology students as they will be using fresh, delicious ingredients in their recipes. It will also reduce waste in the kitchens as herbs and vegetables will only be picked as needed. The school also has a school coffee shop which means that fresh produce will also be available when making light finger food for teachers to have with their coffee. By establishing a sustainable garden students will have a greater understanding of where food comes from as well as assisting the school by saving money and reducinmg the amount of waste from cooking lessons.
