“We at Mirrabooka Education Support Centre, are very “Sustainability” conscious so undertook the following activities to celebrate our achievement during Enviroweek.
1. Each class created a scarecrow using all re-used or recycled products
followed by
2. Each class group taking part in a Sustainability Quiz.
Much fun was had by all collecting, creating and participating in the above activities as I am sure you will see by the photo.
As a whole, the Centre participates in Sustainability activities in Session 4 and 5 on a Friday during their Bush Ranger’s time. We have above ground gardens growing our own Herbs and Vegetables for our Muffin and Soup selling and we also plant native trees around our school and its surrounding bushland.
We are making a great deal of difference to our school and its surrounding areas and look forward to making further differences in the future.”
